About Tarantula Adventure Safaris

Welcome to Tarantula Adventure Safaris – Your Gateway to Tanzanian Wonders

Tarantula Adventure Safaris is a locally owned tour operator based in Arusha, Tanzania. We create private and small-group journeys across Tanzania, from wildlife safaris in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Mount Kilimanjaro climbs, cultural experiences, and Zanzibar beach holidays.
Our trips are planned around the people travelling with us. Whether you are looking for a comfortable lodge safari, a camping adventure, a family holiday, or a focused trekking experience, we listen carefully and build a journey that suits your interests, timing, budget, and pace.
We work with experienced local guides and trusted accommodation and transport partners. Before every trip, we provide clear planning information, practical support, and a detailed confirmation of what is included. During your journey, our team is there to help you travel safely, respectfully, and with confidence.

Our Mission

To create safe, well-planned, and genuinely personal journeys that connect travellers with Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes, and communities while supporting responsible local tourism.

Our Vision

To be a trusted Tanzanian travel company known for excellent local guiding, thoughtful service, and journeys that leave a positive impact on guests, communities, and the natural places we visit.

Why Book With Us?

Local knowledge that matters

We are based in Arusha and plan trips in the places we know first-hand. Our team can help you choose the right parks, routes, accommodation, and timing for your interests.

Experienced professional guides

Our guides are selected for their local knowledge, driving and guiding experience, guest care, and commitment to safety. They are there to help you understand what you are seeing, not simply move you from place to place.

A journey built around you

No two travellers are the same. We tailor private trips around your travel dates, interests, pace, accommodation preference, and budget. We will explain the options clearly before you book.

Thoughtful travel with local benefit

We aim to work responsibly with local people and suppliers, respect cultural traditions, and follow park and wildlife guidelines. We can include meaningful cultural experiences when they are right for your trip.

Clear value and honest advice

We provide a clear proposal showing what is included, what is not included, and any important practical details. If a different route, season, or accommodation choice would suit you better, we will tell you.

What’s Our customers say about us

Stress-Free Safari with Outstanding Service We just completed a 2-day safari with Tarantula Adventure Safaris and couldn’t recommend them more highly. From start to finish, they were incredibly reliable and professional, which made the whole experience completely stress-free. What really stood out was their customer service – they were always checking in with us throughout the trip to make sure everything was going well. It felt like they genuinely cared about our experience, which made a huge difference. They also offer great value for money. Compared to the high prices of lodge-organised safaris, Tarantula provides an amazing experience without the huge cost, making it much more accessible without compromising on quality. They were incredibly accommodating throughout our trip — we were staying in the Serengeti, and they arranged for their driver to come all the way from Arusha to spend the two days with us. That level of effort and flexibility really stood out and made the whole experience feel seamless and well taken care of. Overall, if you’re looking for a trustworthy, well-organised, and great priced safari company with excellent communication, Tarantula Adventure Safaris is a fantastic choice.

Great Hospitality

I had the incredible experience of having Charles David Nyangasa of Tarantula Adventure Safaris host us for our safari across Tanzania. He planned the most meticulous trip, from our arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Serengeti National Park. A highlight was the side trip he planned to Namiri Plains to see the big cats from our luxury accommodations. We were fortunate enough to see the Great Migration, as well as all the Big Five - all in the excellent hands of Charles David. I’d highly recommend him without hesitation to plan your safari. Five stars!!.

Great Hospitality

We had the best safari with Tarantula Adventure Safaris. Jacob is the best guide you could have, he knows everything about wildlife, culture and Tanzania. He took care of us, from the beginning to the end of the trip. He's lovely, nice and patience. A big thanks also to our chef Dennis, he cook every day for us, always a warm breakfast, lunch and dinner. Fresh and healthy. We've seen al the Big 5, we were always at the perfect place/perfect time to spot the animals. And we didn't expect to see the Animals so close!!! Highly reccomend Tarantula Adventure Safaris!!!.
